Remember the post called “Why are Hearing Aids Still a Stigma?” regarding my sister. She was very happy when she saw all these comments, I never even told her I plan to post so she was surprised.

She has read all your comments and a lot of information you provided really helped her a lot. She is now feeling very confident and no longer is worried about what people think of her. She now plans to get hearing aids after all, I’m not sure which kind though. So, she wanted me to say thank you all. She enjoyed the links some of you provided.

So, comment makers can make the difference. Way to go, everyone!

In case you didn’t get a chance to read her comment #41 “I’m the sis”.

ok, I dont think it is the wearing the hearing aid as much as it is the idea of admitting I have a hearing problem. Maybe we should start a support group like AA, & I can stand up & say hi, my name is Lynelle & I have a hearing problem. Seriously, I never really realized how much my hearing affected the people I love. I am going to make an appointment & will keep you updated as to what the doc says. Thx for the support. P.S. I still know ASL, But Im sure it needs work. Love ya!

House For Sale

The agent came in today to take pictures of the house and we decided the date to be exact to put on market which is this coming Monday July 2nd. And then we plan to have an open house on Thursday July 5th. I’m very excited to get this going. I will post pictures that the agent took on here as soon as I get them.

By the way, thank you all for compliment about Hell’s Kitchen episodes and subtitles for all videos. :-D

    Nice photo! It looks like a HRD generated photo. Isn’t it? I am now learning how to process my digital photos using the technique of HRD — having several exposures of the very same image to be merged together to create an interesting lighting effect. I use qtpfsgui to create special effect images. Not one image being publicized yet. I am still experimenting with it. It will certainly be part of my advanced photography curriculum for this new school year.

    Hi Teri, thanks for the comment, Geo’s always spoken highly of you. This is actually not a real HDR photo. it was just taken from one shot/exposure. I did however increase the ‘shadows’ in Picasa to make parts of the clouds looks darker. so in a way increasing the dynamic range. this technique, and also HDR programs make great lighting effects for sure. I’ve never tried using qtpfsgui for HDR processing before, I’ve been using Photomatix ever since. I’ll give qtpfsgui a shot.

    good luck with your experimenting, it is truly a lot of fun with photography. I look forward for you to publish some of your photos.

    Everett is a nice area. Was there few years ago and have a deaf friend who live there. But Every time, I go to Washington, I always stay in Seattle area.

    Wow, that was fortunate for your sister to have her house sold within a couple of days. I doubt that would happen to our house because there are too many brand-new construction houses being built recently in the area so it won’t be easy for us to sell, we will wait and see. :-)

    Wow, Jes was able to catch the bird fast when he took the picture of the bird flying, that is amazing. Usually birds fly too fast for people to take pictures. I guess technology has its way of capturing moments like this. thanks for sharing it with us.

    Jes, You are must be very talent of photography. I love it It is my favorite picture is Vounteer Park area you took a picture with a refelct of water .. Beautiful job!!

    Best things that you took a picture with red background of cloud. It is uniquie color picture to see red/kind of purple color. I am not sure if I am corrected about color.
    My vision is not really good.

    I know Geo have been talked about your talent when I met him at Coffeeshop.

    Jes, for slr camera, which is the best? Canon, Nikon or Sony? are they all the same except different brand or do they have some pros/cons?

    thanks everybody! Tim, Margarett, i’m so glad you enjoy my photography :).

    JFLMad, i did a lot of research before i spent $600+ on my DSLR Nikon D50. i cannot tell you the pros & cons for other brands, but i do know that Nikon is top quality, with affordable lenses and least noise (grain) out of the 3. If you want to create HDR images, you need a camera that has auto-exposure bracketing, i would recommend Nikon D50. But if you don’t care to make HDR, the Nikon D40 is the next best thing.

    Jes, I suggest you to put your name on the photography like watermark or something like that to prevent people stealing from yours.
