  1. Hey,

It is Sony and Proview Mac we have. because of less mess and reduce bulk computer. Casper always looking for reasonable price. Why they prefer Mac more than PC. Somewhat it might not similiar as Apple Imac? I still learing about these one, too.

    Nahhh, I love PC! =D

  3. AJR,

Can you tell me why you like PC? I have no problem with tiny flat monitior?

  4. Gecko says:

But where is the computer for it??????

  5. PhillyBill says:

    Apple ALWAYS! ;-)

The first computer I ever used was an Apple and it was amazing!!! I have an Apple from 1984. The time from when you turn it on to being at the desktop is 12 seconds! Same as my 2005 iMac! Some things never change!!! :-)

  6. Seek Geo says:

    Hey Gecko,

There is computer inside Mac monitor. :-D

  7. PhillyBill says:

    Gecko,

The computer is all in the screen! Built into the monitor! That’s the beauty!!! Just plug in: electric cord, network cord, keyboard & mouse (new iMac has WIRELESS keyboard & mouse). That’s it!

  8. Brian C. says:

Yeah just like a laptop!! Geo – you use MAC for your vlogs right? I know I was told MAC is great for vlogging and editing for films and photoshops… I am considering getting a MAC too for film editing and photoshops. What do you recommend? What do you and Jes use for your vlogs and Jes’s photos?? cuz you both seem to do awesome job!! Since I’m computer illiterate, I do need help! LOL.

  9. JungleForest says:

    Geo,

Yes, I was told that MAC is further the best than any PC. Also, it costly expensive for those MACs. To my curiosity, is there anything that can put CD, floppy disk, uploading pictures and DVD into MAC? I’m keep wondering how did you do video without a webcam?

That’d be nice to buy a new MAC, but I couldn’t afford it. :-)

  10. PhillyBill says:

    JungleForest,

    The Mac has a built-in CD-DVD drive.

PC has a door and tray that comes out, the Mac? You just put the DVD or CD into a slot! Beautiful! ;-)

I watch all my DVD movies on the Mac! It has a widescreen!

The Mac doesn’t have a floppy drive. But most PCs now don’t have a floppy drive. I am sure you can buy a floppy drive if you need one. I just use email to send attachments to share between computers.

    I bought a Mac 2 years ago. I paid $1,200. I use a desktop, not a laptop. (I hate laptops! LOL).

Yeah, it’s expensive, but you can buy the Mac Mini or something… It’s a quality product so it’s more money, but I never lose my sanity like Windows!!! LOL

  11. AJR says:

    Margaret from Seattle,

I born with PC. ;-) Actually, I love PC because I live with PC. I use everything with my PC. My school have MAC, and I dont like it. It was too complex for me. Maybe some of you used with MAC, it fine. But, to me, I was used with PC for long time and I really dont like MAC. That is my opinion! And that why I like PC. =D

  12. Jarom M. says:

PFFFT! I hate desktops… I only have laptop and it’s PC of course! (for work purpose) :-)

  13. JungleForest says:

    PhillyBill,

Why PC is stopping have a floppy disk anymore? Floppy disk is good for back up purpose if windows is booting. Interesting to know. :-)

I find it alot smoother and faster than PC from what I’ve seen those kinds. Correct me if I’m wrong.

  14. PhillyBill says:

    JungleForest,

Most files today are bigger than 1.44 MB, so floppy disk is useless! All new PCs have a CD or DVD burner now.

If a Windows PC needs to boot from a rescue disk, all disks now are CD disks! Hah! In the past, yes, they were DOS rescue disks. But not today, not yesterday, not past 5 years!!!

  15. Seek Geo says:

    Hey Brian C.,

Oh yes, I agreed that using Mac was definitely better and easier for me doing my vlog and yes I use iMac and macbook ( I own both iMac and macbook ) doing videos, photos, etc for my b/vlog.

As for Jes, he uses PC since I use iMac, lol. It’s not easy using laptop at home, anyway. It’s more good for travel to use.

Photoshop works good for either Mac or PC anyway.

If you are involved with movies, Mac is definitely a good way to go. Like iMovie.. or even better Final Cut Express or Final Pro.

They are great programs to use to edit movies, video clips, etc.

    HI Geo

why not Mac and PC marry together? save headaches? hahaha

    :) Gary

  17. Seek Geo says:

    Hey JungleForest,

Oh, Mac have it own built-in webcam, click here so you get the idea what it looks like. :-D

  18. Bryan says:

I definitely agreed with Geo and other who use the MAC. :) I’m thinking about getting MAC for my partner since he loves to play w/pictures and edit and etc even better than PC and I like PC because I’m using database and spreadsheet which is easier for me… :)

  19. Judge says:

    Long live MAC!!!

I used to have PC all the times until 1.5 years ago. I decided to buy a iMac (17″) and wow, I love MAC.

I know a lot about PC and its hardwares bec I used to build the PC, replacing parts, etc etc.

Now, my two kids joined my club — they got Mac too! Guess that my family get smarter. Also, we had three way ichat (video) and it looked soooooo COOL!!! (you can see similar idea on ooVoo).

SG, good picture to compare the iMac and the PC. Hate to say, if I take a picture of my iMac and you would see a few more wires — such as external drive, camcorder, extra USB ports, etc

Hey Lurkers, take this into consideration to buy yourself a new MacBook (or, MacBook Pro) instead of PC/Laptop (for vista/xp). :)

  20. Timo ~ says:

I can’t say I like Mac… never befriended with Mac anyway. I was introduced to Mac (Apple) way back in 1982 and learned to ‘motor-language’ the computer. Boy do I wish I sticked to learning this because I wouldn’t be where I am now. I’d be somewhere vacationing on a yacht.

    Timo ~

  21. Belle says:

It’s more expensive but worth it because of its excellent record for the least amount of repairs needed. It’s a very hardy product – I never fear that I will mess something up or break it and lose invaluable data. Totally worth the peace of mind! Its gorgeous aesthetics and great userability don’t hurt either. It was created with the customer in mind, not to feed the egos of the programmers on the other end of the product!

  22. Mike Morgan says:

PC is easily getting virus and MAC is less getting virus.

MAC user is great for kids cuz of prevent virus and worryless

I use PC I never use MAC.

My Family Tree Maker Program cant use MAC.

  23. Mike Morgan says:

    Hey Gary Brooks

You said MAC & PC should get marry

It will become “MAPC” sounds like “MAP Computer” or GPS HAHA!

  24. Bill says:

They all get the job done. I like Linux, but my new laptop came with Vista, and it does what it should just like any other computer. Antivirus programs are available free, so no big deal.

I use a laptop almost all the time now, so the form factor doesn’t mean much to me.

The image should really compare the mac with this pc though:

  25. Deaf258 says:

That’s a no-brainer!! I love my Macbook. I plan to get an iMac within 6 months.

  26. JungleForest says:

Is there a way to connection DSL and/or VP to MAC? Which one is best to buy from mail order or in-store?

Yep, my PC has too many cords (look just like this insert picture, but not Dell) have to look for a right cord between connection. Now I can see why MAC is fewer or less cords. :-)I’ve so much to learn about them.

    Thanks, Geo and commentors!

  27. AJR

For me to be honest with you I went out to see all Apple Store at Pioner Square area.I look at their store I was kind of stunned when I see and see all what they have like Geo’s babe MAC,he did make a sense to choice MAC..I am use with my PC with about twenty wires wacko..LOL…

  29. Seek Geo says:

    Hey JungleForest,

Sorry for the delay, I thought someone else already answered your question for some reason.

Let’s see, as for DSL or cable modem, yes you can connect to Mac. And for VP, I have VP here at home that connects to a router to the modem then connects to Mac so it works fine.

When I have deaf friends that have Mac, we use iChat to chat to each other on video rather than using VP on TV since it’s easier and good quality, IMO.

For more information on iChat: Click here

It is available for Mac only. And I love it! I have a deaf friend that travels a lot so we usually chat on iChat anywhere even in her hotel room.

  30. Geo,

    Geo ~

I have both PC and Macbook (I just bought Macbook last July) but I prefer PC because I am more comfortable with it. I have been trying to learn how to use imovie from Macbook but it is so hard and so frustrating. I kept failing from trying to make a video clip. *sigh* I think I am about to give up but I have decided to buy a “how to use” Macbook instruction book, something like that. I haven’t buy it yet because I don’t know which book is the best for me to read and to learn how to use imovie, iphoto, photoshop and etc. *sigh*

The reason why I bought Macbook is because my husband is working for HOVRS here in California and he needs to learn about MAC. He’s a PC freak and he used to hate MAC so much until now, he loves it. He haven’t learn how to use imovie or iphoto or something like that. He only knows the basic of MAC due to his work.

Anyway, I am just wondering was it easy to make a video clip with the features? You did a great job with the “hell’s kitchen” video clips. I envy you! hee hee. Keep up good work Geo! :-)

    Hi Susan!

Oh, I remember how I was frustrated trying to use iMovie program until I finally figured by going through many tips I found online. That’s how I learned how to do subtitle, etc.

I’m more than happy to show you how to use if you’d like. Just let me know.. once you know how, you will find it much easier and faster to use. :-)
