T-Shirt: I Hate Deaf People
I have seen some “I Hate Deaf People” in videos, blogs, letters, e-mails from time to time. This time, I found where they are even selling t-shirts saying “I Hate Deaf People” and not only that, it is being said in ASL-fingerspelling.
Ok now, I’m not sure if it was meant to be a joke or basically they are selling shirts to play it safe because nobody would understand it?

What are your thoughts…? Do you take this as a joke or is this something we should take seriously? Is it right for people going around with “I Hate Deaf People” on their shirts?

I begged and pleaded with her day after day
But she packed my suite case and send me on my way

I put my walkman on and said, ‘I might as well kick it’.
First class, yo this is bad
Drinking orange juice out of a champagne glass.
Is this what the people of Bel-Air Living like?
Hmmmmm this might be alright.
But wait I hear there’re prissy, wine all that
Is Bel-Air the type of place they send this cool cat?

I’ll see when I get there
I hope they’re prepared for the prince of Bel-Air
Well, the plane landed and when I came out
There was a dude who looked like a cop standing there with my name out
I ain’t trying to get arrested
I just got here
I sprang with the quickness like lightening, disappeared
I whistled for a cab and when it came near
The license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror
If anything I can say this cab is rare
But I thought ‘Now forget it’ – ‘Yo homes to Bel Air’
I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8
And I yelled to the cabbie ‘Yo homes smell ya later’
I looked at my kingdom
I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel Air
I personally don’t hate deaf people, just the damn annoying sign “language”. It’s an abomination. That said, I am sure whoever made the shirt meant it as a joke though it’s in poor taste.
Frank, sign language is the only way for deaf people to communicate. If ur saying that it’s an abomination then u just pretty mush insulted the army, navy, marines, and air force who depends on signs to “speak” without being heard for fear of being discoverd and killed
I was once a victim many times over since I started school. It only got better when I learned to speak, which took me 10 frickin years, I still havent forgotten what some hearing people had done to me. I learned to fight in order to protect myself and others from anykind of dicrimination and racism. last time I had to fight three people at once in school and one of them were wearing the same shirt. It pissed me off once i read it and I pretty much sent them to the nurses office then home.
Are there any other questions? I’m not trying to offend anyone just wanted yall to know that not all deaf people can speak, U, frank, have no idea how hard it is for us to even try to live without getting beaten, critized, or worse killed. and yet we still try to talk to yall hearing people to show that we arnet that different from people.

I think it’s hilarious that you people have such a chip on your collective shoulder — it’s not our fault that your moms all drank while they were pregnant. Seriously, I feel sorry for you for jumping conclusions. You did NOT read the whole post, I posted this showing everyone what I “found” out that whoever created shirts selling them. It is never cease to amaze me people like you making assumptions and jumping conclusions without reading the whole thing.

That is horrible my parents are deaf that kind of stuff isn’t funny i mean i’ve seen shirts that say “sister for sale” thar’s kind of funny but this is like people who make money off of hating deaf people.
u know maybe y’all should be deaf for like a month with no sound at all, I’m talking about zero sound, meaning no sound,none at all. then live ur life as normal for a month with no sound n see if u can survive being deaf. hope u can remain being sane and alive. farewell to those that dont.
“I hate Geo”, Don’t ever go there with few words about “I hate black ppl” and “I hate God” …I feel really sorry that you don’t know me as a black nice person or any of black people I don’t care how ya reacting. But you be judging and jumping on conclusion quickly . People who say low bad things , mean their concidence, self esteem , and etc are sadly things to be go wasted. Oh well, I hope you get help.
Let is all pray for those ppl who talk bad, so they can get sense. They probably just did it because they jealous of us as deaf or something . But who care…I would smile and say “it is nice to see you speak my name right. It must mean you love me, and I am famous. Wow, it is an awful thing to be jealous, please get professional help.”

Actually A Guy Had A Deaf Daughter and he got surgery to close his ears and he wrote about it in the paper he said it was pretty frustrating. but i’m not sure about seekgeo i think seekgeo just reported this you know like the news but i think cafepress is to blame they’re the ones who are selling the shirts that say that.
I met someone with the shirt not too long ago. She was talking about how dumb and idiotic we deaf ppl are. I approached her and introduced myself and asked for her name. She said that her name was karen something from houston. She didnt know I was deaf until I showed her my hearing aid, which was a cochlear implant. She was so shocked that she couldnt stop herself from her jaw dropping. lol I told her that she was lucky that I wont harm anyone unless they try to kill me. She snapped out of it and said ” so… wat would happen if it wasn’t you. I said that if it wasnt me u would probably be attacked and in a hospital by either a really pissed off guy

I have a bummer sticker that says in English “i hope you have a nice day” This phrase is written around the phrase “bite me” which is in finger spelling font. I want a tshirt of that. My best friends gets a kick out of it and she is deaf.

I can understand you hate sign language. I do too, but it is a true language. What i have seen is when you read what a deaf person writes it sounds like they are dumb. But knowing the language, when they sign it is very clear. Still love the shirt

I never knew that you sell t shirt after The Cafe did removed I do recall but I realized ” I hate Geo” … I did not read this one until it already more than one year.

It’s funny how some idiots coming in here accusing ME that I created shirts without reading the WHOLE post. I made this post to notify about the shirts that was sold by a hater, whoever that was out there.
It wasn’t me, I was simply making a post about it.
Of course on next post, I made a note that CafePress removed the shirt so it’s all good.

I, like Frank, don’t really hate deaf people. Its just “sign language” I’m thinking of. I have it at school once a week and last week, I got thirty four words to memorize, and I can’t memorize it. When I look at signs for a while, my eyes hurt.
….racist…..not funny at all and I am deaf…whatever…
