There are various color for nurse uniforms, but the pinning ceremony probably require the “purity” symbol of
white uniform. Who knows?
Nurses in general, are largely underappreciated and hard-working.
I always have the image of Nurse Ratched from “One Flew Over Cuckoo’s Nest” film played by the CODA person, Louise Fletcher. She also won the Best Supporting Actress (Oscar)back in 1976.
I had a bad deal with some paternalistic nurses expect inapporiate sexual behaviors from female nurses in the past.
I grew up learning how to overmanuver and outwit the nurse
from my school infirmary days.
My sister is also RN herself. She turned from sunny to bitter person after working many years at the nursing home. My sister once employed with the state mental hosptial with better pay and vacation plan, but she got fired for missing out her work days too much.
I do not know my sister anymore after her major transformation in personality. I guess that working in the nursing home have its worst part.
I couldn’t waste my time breathing on TianBoyy & defboy77 (same guy) who always called me a racist since last year just because I have a boyfriend who happens to be white.
He said if I don’t date a black guy like him, it is official that I am a racist.
Go figures. So therefore, he continues to call me racist nearly on every post is getting old so I deleted ‘em.
Thanks everybody for all the kind and encouraging comments! I am very excited to be done with school, no more homework! haha, also to start working as a real nurse at the hospital here. It will be great.
RLM, you are right about there being so many different views of nurses, but i think for the most part nurses are respected and looked up to (at least i hope this is true! haha). Being a nurse it not an easy job, but it is very rewarding.
I stunned after I read RLM’s comment were hit me so hard. I don’t know how to expressing of my feeling and kind of awake the nurse’s behavior. I really aware of the issues seem pretty bad. I am sorry about your sister.
SG, What?… TianBoyy & defboy77
I appalled you for stand up by yourself in blog or vlog. whatever. I cannot understand how they put you in difficult time.

Please let me say something about your comment. I was in nursing at a very difficult time in our country while I was in the ARMY during “The Vietnam War” Then continued to work at in the Hospital in Connecticut. Perhaps you have heard of “Yale University”? Well I worked at the Yale Hospital. The field of OB-GYN could sometimes be exciting and then turn in a minute to very sad. While in the hospital I worked in a few different “wards”{floors or sections}. I worked with the terminal patients, and the psychiatric ward also! I loved every minute of it. I was sad some of the times but I never let it change me or my personality. I was always anxious to go to work same as come home to my children. I was NEVER not even one time harassed by doctors or other nurses. It is ones choice to make a decision as to how they carry themselves in any work environment. People tend to define you on your personal being in the way you carry on while at work. This goes in any profession. There is NOT any more harassment in the hospital employ than any where in the work environment. Everyone who has been employed or close to it has been harassed.
As for your sister she may be having problems that you do not know about. That is your responsibility to stand by and up for her. The word family is described as such. Perhaps she is reaching out and nobody has taken her hand. So reach out to those in your family. This is my opinion and I will stick by it :shakehead: Luv to all MOM
[..YouTube..] Wow, congratulations Jes on completing nursing school! That nurse’s hat was too funny! lolGeo, don’t worry about that guy calling you a racist. He’s a home wrecker for wanting to try to intrude on your relationship with Jes!
[..YouTube..] Wooww. =) Congratulations Jes for me. I have some friends who are studying for nurse and I help them with studying so I understand how tough it is to be a nurse. (Too much textbooks). I am taking physics course and in training to be physcicst and also a film director which it isn’t nearly tough as being a nurse. Congrats Again. =)
[..YouTube..] Well you are also not dating a woman, not dating another deaf person, not dating an hispanic, asian, or a native american. You’re screwed. ROFL!
