[..YouTube..] I’d say not being able to wear it without getting severe migraines is a pretty big limitation on daily life. It seems we’re at an impasse. I’m not against CI, I just don’t think they’re for everyone.
[..YouTube..] SG: Thanks for the vid… my son just received bi-lateral ci’s last month. He is 3 y.o. and is currently attending an ASL preschool class at the utah school for the deaf and blind. He lost his hearing at about age two, and we have been teaching him ASL ever since. I have to admit that I’m absolutely shocked when I see so many deaf people on the internet directing hostility towards ci users. It’s really sad to witness this cruelty, and it doesn’t paint a good picture for the deaf community.
[..YouTube..] Hey oregonfan03,It’s unfortunate to the point where some deaf people believe all deaf should be the same but it’s not the case. I guess I can say they r just afraid to know the fact that other deaf people are different. ;-)Yeah it’s not good for deaf community to divide into many different groups hating on each other where it will go nowhere. That is wonderful your son attends ASL preschool class. I used to live in Utah so I know that school well. Hope you also get to learn ASL as well. :-)

[..YouTube..] @seekgeo My wife and I are currently learning ASL. We want to be able to communicate with our son both verbally and through ASL. I need to thank you for your videos… You have reminded me that the deaf community does not always share the views of mean and hostile individuals. I think that is safe statement to make for any community. Thank you for the breath of fresh air in what can otherwise be a negative and judgemental place.

[..YouTube..] Thank you! I wear an insulin pump, am I a robot? My friend is getting her CI turned on tomorrow! She will still be the same, but she will hear more. We will love her the same!
[..YouTube..] Absolutely!! It’s controversial, but if someone decides that that’s the right choice for them, I think people should support their right to try different things.
[..YouTube..] Thank you so much for making this video because that is what exactly I have been trying to tell my deaf friends. They don’t get it. Thank you so much!!!
[..YouTube..] I do not mind if I have CI but I rather have a tiny piece inside each each ear with something like a transmitter(I cant spell or right word)(reciever??) attacted to my belt. ha my friend who wears a hearing aid for many years is a robot?

[..YouTube..] CI does not turn you into a robot, but the device is artifical. Its basically a machine.

[..YouTube..] if people called me a robot i wouldnt give a fuck. Robots are cool =D
[..YouTube..] here is a good question? who owes the soul? man or robots? therefore man are only machine while humans are very, very nature!!
[..YouTube..] Thank you, Seekgeo. Ci humans have rights to respect and dignity, and freedom from abuse.
[..YouTube..] No we are not robots. It would be like calling someone a robot with artificial limb. We have artificial ears.
