Thanks for the answer and now i see what you mean about the lack of rights and protection under the law for gay people. You’re right, of course. I can’t believe a civil rights issue is put to the popular vote. No oppressed group can get equal rights with a popular vote! Duh! That’s the definition of being a minority — you aren’t in a position of power to end the discrimination! It’s like saying: Ok, men. Let’s vote on whether women should have the right to vote. Ha! I would still be waiting for the right to vote!

I enjoyed your review and I am dying to see this movie!!! I am not having any luck finding a nearby cinema with cc available but I will go to see it in 3-D anyway and hope for the best. Someone compared it to the Matrix, I do hope that they do not talk THAT much because I will not catch any of it. It sounds like it’ll be worth it to see the effects anyway.
Interesting comparison between the blue monkeys and gays. I can certainly understand where you’re coming from and like others, I thought you were going to compare it to deaf culture. You are right in that deaf culture has more rights, more accepted but still disrespected, than gay people. Deafies still struggle with the every day prejudices and stereotypes as do gays. It is worse in some areas than others. I moved from the west coast to the east coast, and I am amazed by how closeminded and far behind people can be during this century.
Thankfully, people are learning and evolving every day. Those that do not need to be left alone in their own misery.

[..YouTube..] Yes, this movie had great story to it, I just watched it again on DVD and wow! I saw like 2-3 other stories! I agree on how the “blue aliens” are misunderstood and we humans just destroyed what was rightfully theirs… Their land, and freedom.
