Summary: A bit ago when we took a trip, we decided to stop at fast food place to order something to eat. We received a receipt that has listed of calories along with food!
[..YouTube..] No way? Are you serious? Isn’t that a way to kind of put themselves out of business when people see the calorie numbers and not order any more? Could you even enjoy the burger after reading that? No, I don’t want calories listed anywhere, I want to remain in ignorant bliss. (glad that 700 was worth it, ROFL) Quit making faces in the car, young man!
[..YouTube..] Hmm I might not mind if there was a page in the back of the menu or something i could pick up and read with the nutritional information… then at least you can try to make better choices… I’d feel bad if it was on the reciept because what if i didn’t know beforehand? Then I’d feel guilty too! ;)
Wow, very interessing thing… to have info about calories on our receipt but I totally agree with you… lol Oh well, let’s see if our future will let all restaurant to give customers recepit like that!!
[..YouTube..] IKEA in Auburn started putting calories numbers next to their menu items. I really like that. It makes me think twice and make better (healthier) choices. I don’t think I’d like it on the receipt AFTER ordering. I know for sure I won’t buy IKEA cinnamon rolls (6 pack) anymore, now I know it’s 2,500 calories. (chokes!)
[..YouTube..] Hi Seekgeo,
Thanks for sharing with us about very interesting reciept with calories information included. It will be help for all of us (Americans) to watch what we eat. We have to avoid many bad health like obesity, diabtes, etc. It was hard to change our way to eat right foods. Good vlog :D
[..YouTube..] Knowing how many calories were in your burger must have been a total kill joy, but it’s still cool that they were so informative. I think Americans should have more information about the calories that are in their food. Many Americans try to be calorie conscious–you see it when you go to the grocery store and food companys pre-package their food to be 100-calorie servings–but once you get to a restaurant, it all goes out the window. Information is good!
[..YouTube..] Hey RiverBirch1967, Maybe it might put them out of business or maybe not. I think I have more respect for that place because I know no way McDonald’s, etc would have done that, ha ha. It wasn’t easy to eat the burger at first but after a bite, it was soo good so I had many bites after that. LOL
[..YouTube..] Hey noseinthebook, Ohyea, good point about putting calories on receipt “after” ordered is kinda weird. I guess that’s their way of making us feel guilty? LOL
[..YouTube..] Hi alwolf76, Oh my… Jes and I used to love cinnamon rolls the first couple of years when we were dating. Then we got sick of it so never looked back since and I knew how high calories it can be. I was afraid to find out but now you have mentioned over 2,000… I’m not surprised! #LOL Damn, that’s crazy!!
[..YouTube..] Hey Catwalksymphony, Just commented on yours, ha ha. Imagine if McDonald’s put calories on receipts? Oh my… I bet most of ‘em will be listed over 1,000 especially breakfast menu and shakes! #LOL
[..YouTube..] Hey pauperedpawn, True, you got that right. As much as we’d hate to know how many calories but still we should know so it helps us to watch what we eat. Now that’d be interesting if all fast food places especially McDonald’s to list their calories. Will I count on it? Nah. He he.
[..YouTube..]
Goodness… 700 calories?! good god!
If I seen that on my bill after I ordered.. I’d still go ahead to eat it because the temptation wouldn’t be easy to resist the bacon with cheesse on burger… love them so much <3
Totally! I will eat the food — only half!!! like 700 whole burger and half it up into 350 per half and I am eating the reasonable amount for lunch
Subways have calories list beforehand and when people choose not to look.. order what they are hungry for.
I look at calories on my food before I buy them in store to know how much per serving and if it’s worth to buy for this or that price so the best thing ever is self made from scratch food because YOU have the control of the cooking. restaurants will use frying oil, salt, butter, all of the danger zones and tell you “oh it’s healthy!” (example: salad which it is not healthy at the restaurant) lol :P
[..YouTube..] *hugs* Good to see you again! OMG about calories chart.. thats COOL, I would love it if I knew FIRST before I buy food.. :/ thats uncool AFTER you bought.. the guility burden you! LOL.. go home and run on threadmill or run around the block 5 times.. you will be fine hehe..
Ha ha.. half burger for lunch and dinner, that would have been an awesome idea except only one problem is. I cannot stand a few food for leftover like burgers, steaks, fries. They taste downright awful for leftover, he he. So I usually eat the whole or toss the rest.
As for salad, it depends on type of restaurants, really. I worked at restaurant before and they served very healthy, all straight from fresh, nothing added or anything. So really, it depends on type of restaurants and who you can trust their type of services.
[..YouTube..] I think having the calories on the receipt would be one of the best things ever. They already have some calories listed next to the menu. I went to BJ’s, a restaurant, and they had a separate book containing all the nutritional facts. It’s alarming, but I think it’d really make people think about the foot they’re consuming!
But see, it was still delicious! The best things in life are sometimes the worst things, lol.
SeekGeo. I know Today is the people need to loose weight.. Often any of fast service is worsen!! Due to obesity, I often watch on Bigger Loser. I am actually obesity pretty bad. and now slow down to reduce and reduce as much I can..
I’ve not seen your vlog lately and pretty busy awfully. REally miss to watch your vlog!
[..YouTube..] Well, I haven’t eaten in a sit-down restaurant for a while now (usually only when I have company). But back in the day, I’d always get a take home box, and only eat half of the meal at the table. That way, I knew I could take a break and not cook for the next couple of days. So knowing the calories ahead of time could help me figure out how many more meals I could get from it.
For me I think it’s wonderful idea. Since it will make people aware what they put in their body. Use moderation common sense. Some people need lot of calories to burn off while they are in competitions etc. Some people don’t realize how many calories til they see it in black and white.
I do keep my eye out on calories… it is amazing how many calories are in certain foods! For instance, Cinnabon.. a regular sized cinn roll is like 1,000 calories.. and omg… they taste GOOD!
I think all of USA need to put similar the recpiet is very excellent idea for any age to keep eye their weight. Today most children is now obesity very bad. I watch Jillian’s show in TV.
I think Restaurant might loose business if the people doesn’t want to come their restaurant to their weight problem I face it same thing. I like the way about discuss about weight need off.
Hi I am back from Las vegas and had good times but weather is hottest wow..i never see the reciptes on list calories intesting anyway In las vegas has no give list of calories nothing …. MCdonald has give list of calories on the wall
[..YouTube..] i think it’s crazy when they have how many calories are in something. i was in Burger King with friend and saw calorie list. i say i hate it because make me feel disgusted to eat, and i need eat because i trying to recover from anarexia.
[..YouTube..] @flippinup Aw man, hope everything is okay with you with the recover of anorexia. Right now, we are in Iceland spending one more night before heading back home tomorrow very late! Look forward to be back home and start blogging from there, ha ha. Have a great week!

Interesting! I haven’t seen that yet.
I’m actually surprised that the receipt didn’t include information about how much protein is in your meal.
I would prefer knowing about this information while I order my meal, not after I order it. So, I can be sure that I’m ordering a healthy meal.
