[..YouTube..] *whew* I’m sorry to go off on you, I should have asked you specifically first, what you meant. I’m frustrated but that is no reason to go off on someone I like. I hope you will accept my apology.

[..YouTube..] Bless your heart, that would be great for all of us, both hearing, deaf, and hoh. I keep reading the directions and the tutorial. Maybe I’m dense.

[..YouTube..] Also I talk so fast and too much, while I notice, with CC you are paced. Do you speak faster in person and slow down for vids?

[..YouTube..] I use Overstream, too. It took a bit of playing to feel comfortable w/ it, but it’s not too difficult to use. (I just talk fast, so sync the time takes the most work) I’m w/ family this weekend, but I’ll try and come up with a quick & dirty tutorial in a couple days as well. Feel free to msg me if you need help! =)-kendra

[..YouTube..] The Act is about making sure that what is on TV and [CC] is also [CC] on the Internet. So it’s not about government control of anything. It’s about maintaining equal access to information in the age when information and entertainment is moving from TV to the Internet. Do you see what I am saying? Technology and times are changing, and law needs to change to reflect that. The old laws do not provide equal access to Deaf people anymore.
Did you check in http://www.hulu.com have closed caption there available? But it is not all channel from cable network. (Can not figure out how to change the angry pink face to remove it to the “Happy” face) ;D
@Warren…
We all knew about Hulu have TV shows, Movies and so on. Closed caption only available when it shows ‘CC’ on each episode or video. If you already a member of Hulu. You may need to go to setting to click on the box to keep Closed Caption to turn on at all time when you watch any of the show you want to watch.
There were several other Deaf people who sent comments or contacted Hulu to add more caption but they kept saying they’re working on it. It’s been over a year they kept saying that. We need to reach out other Deaf people by telling them to go to Hulu and let Hulu know we’re all Deaf and need to see caption on all shows. We need this like between 100,000 to 1,000,000 Deaf people to sign up as members to Hulu. That will overwhelm Hulu for sure and realize there are more Deaf people out there than they think. They should know that there are more than 30 million Deaf people out there in the USA and we all realize there are companies that doesn’t want to know that. They expect us to ‘hear’ their video with sounds. Some of them may have never met Deaf people in all their life.
We definitely need Caption online big time because it is unfair for all of us not knowing what’s going on through any website. Since Deaf people doesn’t use TV because they socialize a lot as well as using computer such as VP online or VP from their TV. Okay, okay, enough ranting about this but we need to stand up and go out there to ‘cry’ out our needs. We need to get more Deaf people out there such as your friends and family as well as they can reach out to others to be the ‘voice’. Can we all do that? Sure we can… We Deaf people can do it. We don’t want Hearing people to think that we’re staying home and do nothing. We can do something. We know we can’t hear but we have bodies that can capable to do anything as well as our brains.
[..YouTube..] Ah, Okay, I see.thanks
[..YouTube..] Ah, Okay, I see.
thanks
[..YouTube..] It’s amazing how many online videos are not captioned. I am most surprised that I have seen Superbowl commercials in the recent past that were not captioned – think about all the missed opportunities to convey an expensive message to hearing consumers watching on soundless TVs at gyms, airports, and so on, and to consumers with hearing loss? Also, to play the devil’s advocate, I wonder what your thoughts would be if the law required that all signed videos online include voice for hearing people?
[..YouTube..] aka thank you! I just don’t know if I’m stupid or what

[..YouTube..] I hate videos without CC that taken away from getting an information, you know, that non-captioned videos are worthless piece of paper poop.

I agree with you what we need CLOSED CAPTIONS online! I always read CNN online, but I am very disppointed in CNN because the video is without closed Captions. In USA, deaf people have right to access closed captions online. Hearing people, you cant ingore deaf people what they need Closed captions. Hope the video have Captions online for deaf and hard of hearing people someday. Thank you, Birdlady
